Exploring Nordost

The Artistic Director of Company of Angels, Adam Barnard, begins a two week exploration of the play Nordost tonight with our Work in Progress company.

Here's a little information about the play:

The Dubrovka Theatrein the heart of Moscow is seized by Chechen rebels during a performance of the family musical ‘Nordost’.

850 audience membersare held hostage.

The rebels demand theremoval of Russian forces from Chechnya and the end of the SecondChechen War.

The Russian Governmentdoes not negotiate with terrorists.
Adam will be working with WiP members in preparation for a rehearsed reading of the play as part of the Dramaturgs' Network Kenneth Tynan Award later this month.
