Recruiting new members - 2012

We've started recruiting for new members of Islington Community Theatre.

Every September we meet loads of young people who are interested in becoming part of what we do - either through Islington Youth Theatre (aged 12-16), Work in Progress (16-19) or Speakeasy (playwriting, 14-19).

We're a relatively small company and can only offer places to so many, so we set up selection workshops - fun, exploratory drama workshops - to give everyone the same chance.

When we select our members we're looking for people who are great at working with other people, collaborative, imaginative and sparky.  We're also looking for people who aren't already a member of another theatre group or company.

We're not looking for the best actors or the best at reading/writing, but rather those who'll really benefit from the chance to work with us and who'll be committed to coming to rehearsals and workshops.
