Islington Community Theatre receives no national or local Government funding.  We are not currently supported by the Arts Council. 

We rely on the generosity of trusts and foundations - and hugely on individual donors giving relatively small amounts on a regular basis.

Your donation will help us change the lives of hundreds of young people for the better: by bringing them together, giving them confidence and tools to express themselves and, perhaps most importantly, enabling them to create high quality theatre that comes directly from their ideas and experiences.

Help us make a difference

Since we were founded in October 2008, Islington Community Theatre has worked with over 1,000 young people through numerous projects, productions and other activities.

We provide inspiring, innovative activities - workshops, projects and productions - that make a dramatic difference to the lives of young people aged 9-22 in one of the UK’s most economically deprived boroughs.

The quality and impact of our work is recognised on a national level, but more importantly it is treasured by local people: children and teenagers, parents, head teachers, youth workers and community leaders.  

Our participants are young people who wouldn’t normally get involved in groups like ours.  They work together with other young people from a huge range of cultural and social backgrounds, gaining confidence, skills and a chance to express themselves in a positive way.

In these tough economic times, we urgently need donations from individuals and companies in order to continue to inspire, challenge and develop Islington’s next generation.

By agreeing to donate to us every month you’ll become a Next Generation Supporter.  Your donations will help us to extend our work with a new generation of local young people and create new and innovative projects that make a real difference to young lives.  It’ll also help us to create new projects for adults aged 18-65 (including those with learning difficulties) and senior citizens.
