ONE YEAR ON
Monday 26 - Tuesday 27 October 2009

Islington Community Theatre's most chaotic, exciting and breathtaking show to date. 75 participants, 6 brand new plays - and just 24 hours to do it all in. A worthy way to celebrate our first birthday and raise crucial funds for all of our projects next year.
All of our groups for young people were involved: Work in Progress stayed up all night to make their piece, four different groups from Islington Youth Theatre worked with professional directors throughout Monday and Tuesday and The Oracle Project did themselves proud with a wonderful piece about a society in which everyone makes decisions by flipping coins.
As well as being an amazing chance for our members to work with some very exciting emerging directors and perform on stage (some for the first time), the evening was also designed to raise money for our future work. Terry Stacy, the Leader of Islington Council, used the event to announce our first ever funding direct from Islington Council - a wonderful contribution of £20,000 towards our current and future projects.
