Remarkable Things was an extraordinary new piece of dance theatre created and performed by a company of performers aged between 10 and 87 years old, many of whom had never danced on stage before.
Created especially to mark the re-opening of Islington Assembly Hall, Remarkable Things was about the tiny little things that make us who we are: an exploration through movement and storytelling of memory, time and the power of seemingly insignificant events to change our lives.

Over ten weekly workshops, members of ICT's three young companies created Remarkable Things with senior citizens from Age Concern Islington, led by the choreographer Ben Ash and ICT's Artistic Director Ned Glasier. Their ideas and interactions in this process inspired the many tiny moments that make up the play.
Like the Assembly Hall itself, Remarkable Things was a unique celebration of what happens when we bridge the gap between old and new.
